Many people find it surprising that their heart does not beat regularly like a metronome. In fact, the more variable your heart beats beta-to-beat, very often the less stressed your body is. 🤔
We use this information from your heart to generate a measurement called Heart Rate Variability, or HRV. You can think about HRV as these minor differences in your beat-to-beat Heart Rate.
So when you look at your HRV number after your meditation, here’s a good rule of thumb…
“Low HRV number… my body is experiencing strain”
“High HRV number… my body is experiencing calm.”
