Many people find it surprising that their heart does not beat regularly like a metronome. In fact, the more variable your heart beats beat-to-beat, very often the less stressed your body is. 🤔
We use this information from your heart to generate a measurement called Heart Rate Variability, or HRV. You can think about HRV as these minor differences in your beat-to-beat Heart Rate.
So when you look at your HRV number after your meditation, here’s a good rule of thumb…
“Low HRV number… my body is experiencing strain”
“High HRV number… my body is experiencing calm.”
HRV is the primary way that Core understands how your body is reacting to a meditation, and an important factor in how we determine if you are experiencing Calm, Focus, or both
